This is my review of the Bluum Box for July 2012.
Let’s just say I’m glad I ended my subscription and the July box is my last ever.
This month the box came in an actual box unlike last month, where it came in a useless and non-descript bag which I couldn’t reuse it for anything except to hold crap. I prefer the boxes so I can actually re-gift them and present things nicely. The tissue paper, too! [Side note: June’s “box” came with a survey about them using the bag packaging instead of the box packaging. My guess is that everyone hated the bag and preferred the original way since July’s box came in the same box as prior boxes.]
Personally, I’ve never heard of Joel Harper but that may just be I’m totally out of the loop. Or maybe not? Has anyone heard of him or is it just me? Being totally out of the loop in getting back into shape? Which is what I really need to do!!!
Here’s a list of what’s in the box.
I thought this list was misleading especially when they listed that the Udderly Smooth Cream was 12 oz. jar for $6. We received two measly samples of it, barely costing 50 cents total. Can I say, rip-off? Ugh! I would say the Udderly Smooth samples were the most disappointing of the box. I could have gotten those samples for free elsewhere, I’m sure of it.
I also received a coupon for the blueberry bar, as well as an offer for a Free DVD but only if you buy another DVD.
I guess it’s a good offer but I’m not really into workout DVDs.
- Fruit Cool Soothing Teether, green sprouts by i play – $4.00
- Pure Organic Blueberry bar – 1.7 oz, $2.19 [These sizes and prices don’t really count since there are only “deluxe samples” in the box – so they are going to be smaller sized and cheaper, if they’re worth any money….]
- Triple Paste – 2 oz, $9.99 [the sample was 1 oz, does that mean it’s $4.99 in total cost? The size of it surprised me that it wasn’t as small and measly like the Udderly Smooth samples…
- Artisan Naturals Soothing Aloe Cleanser with Lemon & Neroli – 4 oz, $25.00 [I believe the sample is like 1 oz or maybe 0.5 oz, it’s pretty small]
The teether is probably the only thing that’s of use to me since my 6-month old is clearly teething with tons of drool and everything. There are no actual teeth yet but I feel some buds here and there. The Triple Paste is probably the second thing that I can use of the box but everything else doesn’t really interest me at all.
Here’s a closer look at the Triple Paste and the Aloe Cleanser.
So yeah, all in all, I have not been happy with Bluum. They had so much promise in the beginning and I figured they were doing really well since there are so many discount offers for the Bluum box. I am disappointed and I’m glad to be done with my subscription.
On a different note, I finally have been accepted for another campaign at BzzAgent. My void is finally filled! I’ve joinsed the CoverGirl and Olay campaign for the foundation and pressed powder. I”m excited and looking forward to getting my BzzKit! 🙂
